The first 1–3 sessions
The start typically includes warm-up, stance and guard, movement, basic hand strikes, and focus-mitt work. The coaching principle is technique first, power later. A strong punch starts in the legs, transfers through the torso, and reaches the hand — boxing is not arm work alone.
In an open group, the coach may give a beginner extra attention and experienced students may help them adapt. That is a typical working pattern, not a promise of identical attention in every class. Read boxing for beginners in Krakow and the first combat-sports session guide .
What students say about boxing
In an interview published on Troyan Studio’s Instagram, a boxing student describes training mainly through the people and the atmosphere in the group — the same theme comes up in other conversations with club students. See the student’s post on Instagram .
Who it is for
- No previous experience — choose the marked beginner group or confirm another suitable slot.
- Returning or previously trained students — the coach may test technique and physical preparation and work around the errors found. This is not a universal test for a complete novice.
- Kids from age 6 — Tuesdays and Thursdays at 17:00; see the parents’ guide .
- Personal work — arrange one-on-one training with a coach; see personal boxing training in Krakow .
Sparring and amateur competition
The coach decides sparring readiness based on the student’s willingness and physical and technical readiness. The first-sparring guide explains the difference between technique, partner work, and sparring.
Troyan Studio can prepare willing boxing students for amateur competition; the head coach and coaching staff decide readiness. That does not automatically create a competition pathway in kickboxing or Muay Thai.
Equipment and booking
Bring sportswear and water. Gloves can be borrowed for the first sessions; your own wraps, gloves, and mouthguard matter as the later training format requires them. You can train barefoot or in socks. Boxing shoes are optional; there is no need to buy them before your first session.
